History of the Company
In the year 1955-56, Late Pearylal Gupta commenced a business of Scrap and Hardware Goods procuring from retailers and selling them to the Steel plants in bulk amount. This trading business witnessed a new turn when he once purchased Sprockets and Chains in bulk under "Renold" brand of England. Observing the huge demand for Jute Mills, the Textiles and Engineering concerns arranged to sale in retail, opening a showroom at Calcutta under the trade name M/s. R.B. Trading Co. In the year 1960-61, a new company named M/s. L.G. Balakrishnan & Bros. Ltd., Coimbatore lodged in the market with production of chains and sprockets under "Rolon" brand in competition to "Renold" England make.The managing director of that company visited Calcutta for marketing his products and met Late Pearylal Gupta, who offered for distribution in West Bengal. "Rolon" got suitable market and consumed maximum similar specifications, get-up, quality and lower cost than "Renold" brand. Within ten years in 1970-71, R.B. Trading Co. obtained the position of sole distributor of "Rolon" products in the eastern region of India. In the year 1975, Late Pearylal Gupta established a new company with the name of M/s. R. Bee. Trading company, which has now acquired the numero uno position in the domestic market. Presently, R. Bee. Trading Company, also a partnership firm, is being managed by Shri Sanjay Kr. Gupta, younger son of Late Pearylal Gupta and his nephew Sri Sekhar Gupta.
